This was our first visit to the Fold and we loved it! Just one suggestion to help newbies - recommend that people bring their own seats! We didn't realise we'd have to and struggled a bit towards the end of the night. Only a small issue which didn't spoil the overall experience of an amazing blues extravaganza. We'll be back Fi Law
Hi Oliver I have met you at one of the Bob Jones blues nights at the cellar bar. I attended the Blues at the Fold event and I had a superb day out. Excellent bands throughout the day and several awesome guitar playing displays. Paul Cowley was good, as I like all types of blues, but perhaps another acoustic set in between the bands would have been good. Great day though and I look forward to next year, providing I survive the three days at Upton first though.

Hi, Just some feedback about our experience of the festival at the Fold. We found it on the internet and on the spur of the moment decided to give it a go. Having phoned ahead to check we could get in.....we were traveling 90 miles to come to it.....we found the organisers helpful and friendly. We had no idea what to expect, though didn't realise it was such a 'village' event. However, we thought the musical line up was great, beer and food was good....nice to see veggies catered for!.....and had a great day - Thanks! Ally and Marc

Hi Oliver, We and our friends had a great time at the Fold Blues Festival. We really liked the Cohen Bros, Trevor Burton and your Big Blues Tribe Band. The atmosphere was excellent and the food/drink very good. We did struggle a bit to find anywhere to sit as we didn't arrive until 1700, so until we got up to dance couldn't see the performers. We are looking forward to next year and hope Sue and you enjoyed it despite the pressure of organising/performing. Pete
Seven of us attended the fest in the end, and every single one of us had a fab time. We arrived around 3 and left before penultimate song (to avoid car park rush). Highlights? … there were so many: The 4 bands we heard – all with different styles – something for everyone The relaxed atmosphere – smiling faces everywhere you looked The food – Iain particularly enjoyed the spicy chutney in sausage rolls – I particularly enjoyed the local perry! A chance to catch up /gossip during switch over between acts Us girls enjoyed a mooch around the shops (and could still hear the music, which was great) and a dance at the end of the evening The price was great!! Please pass on a big thank you to all the ‘singists/playists’ for their talent/entertainment, and the Fold for their hospitality. Roll on next year – please don’t change a thing! I thought the last Blues at the Fold was superb, with a good variety of class bands and soloist(s) and certainly excellent value for money. The venue really suited me and my wife. It is of course quite small, but that makes for a 'homely' atmosphere. Food and drink was in plentiful supply and all of good quality, though some a little expensive. Overall it is difficult to see how things could have been improved. I am certainly keen on attending future such events. Very well done. Regards - Colin
